Working as a Temp
As a registered candidate you are now an important part of a growing network. Our aim is to match candidates and clients perfectly. Whether you are seeking temporary work in the short or long-term, you are a valued member of our team and our consultants will endeavour to meet your requirements, resulting in assignments to suit you.
Once your registration is complete, our recruitment team will be searching for your perfect placement. As soon as a suitable position becomes available, we will contact you. If you are still looking for work and interested, we will submit your application to the client after a reference check.
If your application is successful, then we will send you a complete briefing of the position including the site address and client’s name, site contact, start date and time, tools you might need.

It is essential therefore, that in return for our full support, and as a representative of Paramount, you dedicate yourself to presenting a professional image to our clients.
If you are unable to attend work for any reason you must contact your recruiter at least an hour prior to your start time.
We require you to give At least 24 hours’ notice for time off for any appointments – please try to book any appointments outside of your working hours.
If you are not happy with the assignment you are working on, it is important that you complete the shift/day. Please telephone us to explain the problem and we will attempt to resolve it and failing that we will try and find you alternative employment.
Timesheets are usually sent to the site manager who ensures correct hours are logged according to your attendance. You must make sure that you sign in and out every day, otherwise your timesheet might be wrong. The recruitment team will notify you in advance if we need you to manage your own timesheets.
We will pay you weekly in arrears (not a week in hand). e.g. if you work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday one week, we will process payment for you for these days/hours the following week on Friday (and so on).
Payments are processed on Fridays and sent directly into your bank account.
If you are a PAYE worker, your nominated Umbrella Company will send you your payments. You will also receive a text message and an email from them with a pay slip. If you don’t receive one by 13 o’clock on a Friday, please contact the Umbrella company or our office to check if we have received your hours.
If you have your own limited company, you will have to send us your invoice on Thursdays.
We always check the timesheets before we send your hours to the umbrella company or your accountants. Unfortunately mistakes do happen, so if you are not sure whether your payment or hours are correct, please call the office and we will check.
